Anchored in Faith: Jose Mathew and Family Share Inspiring Journey on Shalom TV’s Eshoyum Njanum

​ARUVITHURA — In a moving episode of the program Eshoyum Njanum (Jesus and Me), Jose Mathew from Aruvithura, alongside his wife Soumya, shared how unshakeable faith and scripture guided their family through poverty, debt, and severe health crises.

​ Overcoming Early Hardships : Jose recounts growing up amid poverty and despair, eventually finding purpose and reassurance through the Word of God and active involvement with Jesus Youth.

​A Miraculous Birth : When complications arose at six months of pregnancy, Soumya faced life-threatening high blood pressure. Their third child, Reetha, was delivered prematurely weighing just 770 grams. Defying medical odds and severe prognoses, the baby fully recovered with no developmental deficits.

​ Provision Through Prayer : Amid acute financial strain from home loans, persistent prayer opened unexpected doors, leading to Soumya securing a government healthcare posting at the Erattupetta Family Health Centre.

​ Resolution Through Silence and Prayer : The couple emphasized resolving family tension not with harsh arguments, but by spending quiet time before the Blessed Sacrament and seeking guidance through Scripture.
