Countdown to Rome: Jesus Youth Calls for Global Day of Prayer and Fasting Ahead of International Conference

ROME — With less than 30 days remaining until the landmark Jesus Youth International Conference, organizers have issued a worldwide call for prayer and fasting this Friday, September 25, to support the final stages of preparation.

The upcoming gathering in Rome marks a significant milestone for the Catholic youth movement, with over 1,000 delegates representing more than 40 countries already registered. Preparations are moving at full throttle as organizing teams coordinate logistics, program schedules, and ongoing international visa processing for incoming attendees.

In an official message to members worldwide, Jesus Youth Coordinator of the International council Dr Midhun Paul highlighted the vital role of spiritual solidarity as the event draws near, emphasizing that the conference belongs to the entire global community—whether attending in person or supporting from home.

“Whether we are participating in the Conference or not, it is our responsibility and privilege to pray for this significant moment in the life of our movement,” Midhun stated, inviting members across all continents to dedicate Friday to fasting and focused intercession.

The collective prayer effort will focus specifically on:
