Rejoicing in the Heavens!

Over the past few months, we have witnessed inspiring stories from around the world, and within Jesus Youth communities in Slovenia, Poland, Italy, Singapore, and beyond, of young people being welcomed into the Church through the evangelistic zeal of Jesus Youth.

Today, we share two beautiful stories from Jesus Youth USA that highlight how this same witness and zeal have profoundly impacted lives.

In February 2026, the Church joyfully welcomed eight members of the Benitez family from South Florida. These young people, including children, were first reached out to by members of Jesus Youth. They were then lovingly accompanied and prepared to receive the Sacrament of Baptism.

In April 2026 on Easter Sunday, the Church rejoiced once again as Emily from South Florida was welcomed into the Church through the Sacrament of Baptism. Reflecting on her journey, she shared how Jesus Youth played a meaningful role in her encounter with Christ:

“Through the Movement of Jesus Youth, these people showed me the love that Christ has for me and each one of us. They invited me into their homes, listened to me, fed me, prayed with me, laughed with me and cried with me because that’s what followers of Christ do – they dont try to fix you or make everything better, only Christ can heal – but they will intercede for you and bring a cheerfulness in all things because they have a God that they can trust, a God who loves them, who provides all things, who creates life from darkness, and they walk through life hand in hand with God and with each other”
