Kristina’s Baptism – A radiant light of hope & faith from our JY Bologna family!

Tonight, as our Diocese gathers in the holy anticipation of the Easter Vigil, Kristina from our JY family will receive the Sacraments of Baptism & Holy Communion ✨️

Her journey of faith is a beautiful testament to God’s relentless pursuit of our hearts. Originally from the Czech Republic and studying at the University of Bologna, Kristina grew up in a culturally Catholic but non-practicing home. Yet, the Holy Spirit was already moving within her. Since she was a little girl, she has dreamed of knowing Jesus – yearning to understand the faith deeply so she could fully share in the life of the Church.

Tonight, by the boundless grace of Our Lord, that lifelong yearning finds its glorious fruition. Cardinal Matteo Zuppi will baptize her, welcoming her into the profound embrace of the Mother Church as a newly reborn daughter of Christ!

As we unite our hearts with hers on this holiest of nights, let us lift Kristina up in prayer today and in the journey ahead. May Jesus be her unfailing guiding light, and may the grace and strength of these Sacraments ignite a fire of missionary zeal within her for Our Lord.

Let Kristina’s powerful witness be a spark for us all. May it renew the promises of our own baptisms and reawaken our call to be bold missionaries, so that we may bring the joy of the Good News to the countless souls whose hearts are still yearning to meet Jesus.
