30-Day Global Prayer Initiative Announced Ahead of Pentecost 2026

April 20, 2026 — The Jesus Youth International Council has announced a 30-day global prayer and intercession initiative in preparation for Pentecost, calling members worldwide to spiritual renewal and personal conversion.

Scheduled from April 25 to May 24, 2026, the initiative will culminate in the traditional Pentecost Novena from May 16 to May 24. The movement aims to foster continuous prayer through a 24×7 international chain of intercession, connecting participants across countries.

The call follows a recent discernment process, “Listening to the Movement,” which highlighted the need for deeper spiritual renewal within the community. Leaders emphasized that the initiative is not program-driven but a response to a spiritual invitation for realignment and transformation.

In addition to focusing on internal renewal, participants are encouraged to pray for global concerns, including conflict and human suffering. Local groups—across countries, regions, and ministries—are urged to organize prayer gatherings, encourage individual participation, and sustain a strong focus on intercession throughout the period.
