Jesus Youth Column by Dr. Edward Edezhath Reaches Milestone – 83 Issues and Counting!

It is a matter of pride that Kairos Global features the monthly column by Dr Edward Edezhath, ‘Jesus Youth’. And the fact that this column has now completed 83 issues is a cause of great joy for each of us at Kairos Media.
One of the few regular columns in the magazine, ‘Jesus Youth’ gives us glimpses of the growth of the Jesus Youth movement as a whole, as well as perspectives and the vision that the movement aspires to.

What began in the early 1980s from student gatherings at colleges in Kerala, India, has now grown into an international missionary movement at the service of the Catholic Church and approved by the Holy See. Dr Edezhath’s columns takes a look at various aspects of the movement, constantly going back to its origins and the people who have shaped and guided it. Dr Edezhath’s wisdom and years of experience as one of the pioneers of the movement illumines the movement’s strengths in our present times as well as providing the much-needed guidance and roadmap for the journey ahead.

Who is a Jesus Youth? What is the movement all about? What is its relevance today? What role does it play in the Church, in society and in the hearts of each of its members as well as those outside – all this and more is given shape and form by Dr Edward Edezhath’s ‘Jesus Youth’.

An international preacher, author, Dr Edward Edezhath is a retired professor from St Albert’s College, Ernakulam. He is presently a researcher at Amoris Christi, a JY affiliate organisation in Florida, USA.
