From Kuwait to Richmond: Jesus Youth Takes Root in Virginia

Two Jesus Youth families who recently moved from Kuwait to the Richmond, Virginia, area reconnected with Jesus Youth USA through the AD COR program in Raleigh, North Carolina. They subsequently invited the JY North Carolina team to support a youth retreat at their parish.

On the weekend of August 15, five Jesus Youth members from North Carolina travelled to Richmond and helped facilitate the retreat, which brought together more than 30 young adults for a weekend centred on an encounter with Christ, Life in the Spirit, and an introduction to the movement.

The participants actively engaged through skits, songs, sharing, and fellowship. Though a small beginning, the gathering was a beautiful sign of Jesus Youth reaching new places during this Jubilee year.
