From Brokenness to Purpose: A Story of Redemption, Courage, and Hope

What happens when silence feels safer than truth? When pain is buried beneath achievement, control, and the appearance of “doing well”? For many, the struggle with shame is quiet, hidden, and deeply isolating. This is one such story—not of defeat, but of transformation.

Pranali Vadgaonkar’s journey is one marked by both deep wounds and remarkable redemption. Raised in a highly educated Hindu Brahmin family, she grew up feeling like she never quite belonged. Struggling with dyslexia and a lack of emotional safety at home, her early years were shaped by rejection and self-doubt. That longing for acceptance followed her into adulthood.

At just 20, while in junior college, she fell in love and got engaged. Young and unaware of the deeper meaning and responsibility tied to relationships and sexuality, she found herself facing decisions that would leave a lasting imprint on her heart. In a single year, she underwent three abortions—choices made in confusion, without guidance, and in an environment where such decisions were treated as routine.

There were no meaningful conversations, no emotional support, and little acknowledgment of the gravity of what she was going through. What should have been a moment for care and reflection was instead reduced to clinical procedure. The silence around her pain only deepened her internal struggle.

But this is not where her story ends.

Years later, Pranali would find healing, purpose, and a renewed sense of identity. After spending nearly 18 years in the corporate world—including eight years as Head of Customer Relations for Jaguar Land Rover India—she made a bold decision in 2019 to step away from her career. She chose instead to invest her time in her family, her faith, and a mission that would transform not only her life but the lives of many others.

Today, she leads a pro-life ministry called That’s Love and serves as Project Head at The Saved Pearl Foundation, supporting women facing crisis pregnancies. Through her work, she offers compassion, guidance, and hope—ensuring that no woman feels as alone as she once did.

A mother of six and a dedicated homeschooler, Pranali now speaks openly about her past—not from a place of shame, but from a place of courage. She honors the memory of her four lost children—Zara, John, Matthew, and Ruhani—by being a voice for the voiceless and a source of strength for others.

Her story is a powerful reminder: no pain is wasted, no past is beyond redemption. In faith, she has discovered that even the deepest wounds can become a source of healing for others.

This feature in Kairos Global – May 2026 Issue is not just a story—it’s an invitation. An invitation to break silence, to seek healing, and to believe that even in the darkest moments, hope is never lost.
