Logo Design Contest Announced for Asian Mission Congress 2025
Penang, Malaysia : The much-anticipated Asian Mission Congress 2025 has announced an exciting opportunity for creative minds across Asia. A logo design contest has been launched to capture the spirit of the Congress, which will be hosted by the Diocese of Penang from November 27-30, 2025, at The Light Hotel, Penang, Malaysia.
The event, supported by the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples and the Pontifical Mission Societies, in collaboration with the Bishops’ Conference of Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei, aims to unite bishops, priests, religious, and lay leaders across Asia. Building on the success of the first Mission Congress in Thailand in 2006, this year’s theme, “Journeying together as peoples of Asia… and they went a different way.” (Mt 2:12), emphasizes fraternity, hope, and the Church’s synodal mission.
A Call for Creativity
Participants are invited to design a logo that embodies the core concepts of hope, journey, unity, and pilgrimage in the Asian context. The logo should also reflect the Congress’s focus on “Journeying together as peoples of Asia” and inspire a sense of togetherness, faith, and mission.
The winning designer will receive free air tickets to Penang to attend the Congress and have their work prominently featured as the official emblem of the event. The selected design will become the property of the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences (FABC), which reserves the right to use or modify it as needed.
Submission Guidelines:
The design must be original and created specifically for the event.
Submissions will be judged based on originality, creativity, quality, and relevance to the theme.
All entries must be submitted by February 15, 2025, using this link.
For those passionate about art and faith, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to a historic event that envisions the future of the Church in Asia.
