Christmas Sparks Day 04 Thank You for Everything…
Anjali, my friend and I had been talking about our jobs when she said, ‘It’s true that I got this job soon after graduating, and the salary is decent too, but the past six months have been exhausting. No proper food, lack or sleep, and even during meals we have work discussions. It’s too draining that I’ve decided to resign.’ The excessive burden of the job was evident in her words. Those six months were tough.
My next meeting with Anjali was the evening she submitted her resignation.
Seeing her cheerful and in a very chill mood, I couldn’t help smile. We laughed a lot that evening, as though we’d achieved something or lost our senses. And when I asked her, ‘How did the resignation go?’ She replied, ‘The job was incredibly challenging. But these past two days, I had to tell a lot of people, “I’m leaving. Thank you for your love.” Many faces stood by me these six difficult months. Security staff, ground staff, people in the office cab and our own team.’ Then she added, ‘Isn’t it beautiful to have people to thank and remember with gratitude.’
Let this Christmas season become a month-long celebration of gratitude, reflecting on the past eleven months of 2024.
