With hearts full of gratitude and joy, the Jesus Youth in India share the wonderful news of the priestly ordination of our beloved former full-time volunteer, Deacon John (21st Batch), to be held on January 15. ✝️ This moment marks the fulfillment of a journey that began when he joined the seminary after serving as a full-timer in Mysore, Karnataka in 2012.

Hailing from Maram, Manipur, Dn. John comes from a deeply faith-filled and mission-oriented family. It is a true blessing that both his elder and younger sisters, Teresa (18th Batch) and Helen (23rd Batch), have also served as full-timers. His parents, Mr. Kangba Renotus and Mrs. Kala Rebecca, a catechist, have nurtured a home open to the Lord and the Jesus Youth charism.

The ordination will be conferred by Archbishop Linus Neli, DD, of Imphal, at St. Vincent High School, Pumdumlong. The Thanksgiving Holy Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Church, Willong Khullen. Fr. John will serve as a Salesian priest in the Dimapur Province.

Known as a loving and gentle person, and believed to be the second Jesus Youth from the North East to become a full-timer and later a priest, his life stands as a powerful testimony to God’s grace. Let us continue to keep him and his family in our prayers. 🙏✨
