Jesus Youth Doctors Share Inspiring Testimony of Faith, Family, and Medical Mission– A moving testimony by Dr. Reju Varghese and his wife, Dr. Sonia, highlighted how members of the Jesus Youth community are integrating their Christian faith into their medical profession, family life, and service to society.

The couple, both pediatricians and active members of the Jesus Youth Doctors’ Team and the Catholic Couples Movement (CCM), shared their journey of trusting God in both ordinary and extraordinary moments of life.

Dr. Reju recalled a critical incident during a Caesarean section when the mother’s blood pressure and pulse suddenly dropped. Amid the medical emergency, he said the healthcare team turned to prayer, seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit. He described the patient’s recovery as a powerful reminder of God’s presence and intervention in their professional lives.

The doctors emphasized that medicine is more than a profession—it is a ministry. They regularly offer spiritual encouragement to patients and families, praying with those who seek support and helping them experience hope and reconciliation with God during difficult times.

Reflecting on their 20-year marriage, the couple shared that daily prayer, mutual respect, forgiveness, and a shared commitment to Christ have strengthened their family life. They described a faith-filled marriage as a blessing that can positively influence both family and community.

Through their involvement in Jesus Youth and CCM, Dr. Reju and Dr. Sonia continue to mentor families and encourage fellow healthcare professionals to witness Christ through compassionate service.

Summing up their mission, the couple said they aspire to be instruments of God’s love, sharing with others the love and grace they have received through Jesus Christ in every sphere of life.
