Dr. Edward Edezhath Hails ‘Acts Alive 2026’ in Canada as a Benchmark for Jesus Youth

SASKATCHEWAN — Over 300 participants gathered at Hepburn for Acts Alive 2026, the Jesus Youth Saskatchewan Regional Conference. Held under the pillars of Celebration, Communion, and Mission, the one-day gathering drew a diverse cross-section of the local Church—including long-settled Canadian families, newcomers, youth, children, elderly members, and 14 clergy and religious led by the local Archbishop.

Reflecting on the conference, one of the Jesus Youth pioneers Dr. Edward Edezhath praised the gathering as an authentic, multigenerational benchmark for the movement.

Writing on his blog, Dr. Edezhath noted that the program successfully blended the depth of a spiritual retreat with the warmth of a family reunion, moving away from passive lectures toward interactive participation. Sessions were structured across customized generational streams—addressing topics such as navigating digital distractions and AI for young adults, making values-based decisions for children, and strengthening marital vocations for families.

A dedicated fellowship lunch also brought senior ministry coordinators together with local pastors and religious, fostering deeper ecclesial communion across the prairie diocese.

Jesus Youth Saskatchewan released a video capturing the highlights, vibrant worship, and community reflections of the conference, which can be viewed on YouTube. https://youtu.be/W2fSpwjOY4s?feature=shared
