CBCI Appoints Bishop George Palliparambil as Ecclesial Advisor of Jesus Youth India
The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India (CBCI) has appointed Most Rev. George Palliparambil, SDB, Bishop of the Diocese of Miao, as the new Ecclesial Advisor of Jesus Youth India.
The appointment was welcomed with joy by the Jesus Youth movement across the country. Leaders of the movement expressed gratitude to God for the new appointment and assured their prayers and support for Bishop Palliparambil as he begins his role of accompanying the mission and activities of Jesus Youth India.
At the same time, the movement expressed heartfelt appreciation to Most Rev. Alex Vadakumthala, Bishop of Kannur, who completed two terms as Ecclesial Advisor. During his tenure, Bishop Vadakumthala provided guidance, friendship, and consistent pastoral support, which leaders said greatly strengthened the growth and missionary initiatives of the movement.
Jesus Youth India members have called on the faithful to continue praying both for Bishop George Palliparambil as he undertakes his new responsibility and for Bishop Alex Vadakumthala in gratitude for his years of dedicated service.
