Youth Convention “AWAKE 2026” to Be Held at Chittoor Retreat Centre in February

The Youth Apostolate of the Major Archdiocese of Ernakulam–Angamaly is set to host a three-day residential youth convention titled AWAKE 2026 from *February 6 to 8, 2026, at the *Chittoor Retreat Centre.
The convention will be led by *Rev. Fr. Binoj Mulavarickal, Youth Apostolate Director and Vicar General for the Syro-Malabar Faithful in Europe. Fr. Binoj is widely recognised as a Catholic musician and youth apostolate leader and is best known for the internationally acclaimed *AWAKE Youth Musical Retreat, which blends music, prayer, and youth engagement.
Fr. Binoj has composed over *300 original Christian songs, reaching more than **one million people across digital platforms. Since its inception in **2017, the AWAKE retreat has been conducted across Europe, beginning in Rome, and later expanding to several countries worldwide. *AWAKE 2026 marks the programme’s return to Ernakulam, specially organised for the youth of Kerala.
The retreat aims to offer participants a deep personal encounter with Jesus through music, light, prayer, and reflection. It will feature worship sessions, talks, musical experiences, and opportunities for fellowship.
The programme will begin on *Friday, February 6, at 5:00 pm, and conclude on **Sunday, February 8, at 5:00 pm. The residential retreat is open to *married and unmarried youth aged 18 to 35 years.
Registration is mandatory and can be completed by scanning the QR code provided in promotional materials or by filling out the online Google form, making the payment, and uploading the payment confirmation. The registration fee is ₹500.
Organisers have also invited well-wishers and benefactors to support the event, noting that contributions of any amount will help make the retreat accessible to more young people.
