Two dear priests of Jesus Youth are celebrating the Silver jubilee of their priestly ordination, and our hearts are filled with gratitude and joy as we honour their beautiful journey of 25 years with the Lord.

Their lives have been a living testimony of humility, simplicity, and gentle love. Through their down-to-earth ways, they have touched the hearts of countless young people and families, walking with them, listening to them, guiding them, and helping them encounter Jesus in a very personal way.

The thanksgiving celebration will be held on 19.01.26 at POC, Ernakulam, from 6 pm to 9 pm, beginning with a Holy Mass. It will truly be a moment of grace to come together as a family and thank God for these two shepherds after His own heart.

Fr. Bitaju, a Trinitarian priest, has a very special place in the heart of Kairos and the Jesus Youth movement. From the very first issue of the magazine until today, without missing even a single month, he has faithfully written the “Ask Fr. Bitaju” column. Through his concise, clear, and solid responses to questions from young people, he has helped many understand the Church and her teachings with clarity and love. Many readers wait eagerly for this column, finding in it wisdom, reassurance, and guidance. Currently, he serves as the Chaplain of the Jesus Youth International Formation Team and is also part of the Priest Formation Team. He has earlier served as the International Council Chaplain, offering quiet but strong leadership to the movement.

Fr. Shibu’s (OCD) journey with Jesus Youth began almost accidentally, through an encounter with a few campus leaders. But what began as a simple association soon became a lifelong mission. Over the years, he became an integral part of the movement, serving as the Chaplain for the Campus Ministry in Kerala and later as the Kerala Council Chaplain. His ability to connect with people, remember names, listen with attention, and walk with them personally has made him deeply loved. His brief but impactful term as Dean at POC opened its doors wide to young people, making it a true home for them. Even today, as the manager of a major school in Ernakulam, he remains close to the youth – joining them for songs, dances, late-night tea, and heartfelt conversations.

Dear Fathers, thank you for your yes, your perseverance, and your love for young people. May the Lord continue to bless your priesthood and lead you into even more beautiful adventures with Him. We wish you both a joyful and grace-filled journey ahead.
