Christmas Sparks Day 24 Day of Faith
The angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people.’ (Luke 2:10)
The celebration of Jesus’ birth is the good news of salvation and complete redemption for all humanity. Christmas is not merely a season; instead, it is a divine day when the Word became flesh and dwelt among us—a day that must resound in our hearts with unwavering faith and courage, never fading in significance. When we attempt to define Jesus through the word ‘love,’ Cnristmas becomes a day to gather the courage to embrace challenges.
Christmas is a day of salvation when every Christian must firmly stand to proclaim the message to all nations and safeguard their faith. From the manger to Calvary, Christ showed us through His life that love is manifested in patience. May Christmas illuminate our hearts, inspiring every Christian to proclaim the message of Christ’s patience through their life of faith.
On this day, every Christian should look up to St Joseph, who vigilantly protected the holiness of Baby Jesus’ life, even in his sleep. At a time when efforts are being made to reduce Christmas to merely ‘gift-mas,’ we, too, must embody St Joseph’s vigilance and bear witness to a life of faith. Let us emulate the shepherds who journeyed to the manger so that Christ could be born in our hearts.
Every Christmas is a sacred day that reminds us to recognise the star that radiates the light of salvation in a life of simplicity and to boldly share the message of this great day. Beyond Santa’s magic, the true Christmas message is to proclaim that Christ became man—a truth we must share without hesitation.
Let Christmas be a day of faith, a day when we pledge to pass on the spirit of Christ to the next generation. Beyond the glitter of celebrations, may Christmas be a holy day of heart transformation, where we realise the supreme truth of living Christ’s love.
