Christmas Sparks Day 17 that’s Christmas to Me
When I think of Christmas, one word that comes to mind is Family, Christmas is indeed a celebration of families coming together to share joy. I still remember, setting up a crib with my dad and siblings during Advent. The freezing cold and the constant rains made daily mass a very drowsy one. We enjoyed the thrill though.
Every Sunday, a new advent candle will be lit. It was a yearly tradition, to reflect on the significance of the candles. Decorating our hearts and home for Baby Jesus, while listening to carols will forever be the single best thing Advent brought.
On Christmas Eve, the beautiful outdoor midnight mass was always followed by, finding presents near our Christmas tree and crib, that our parents had set up, seating us in the car, right before mass. We would open presents, cut the homemade cake, and FINALLY break our fast with some grilled chicken or other meat and go to sleep.
Merry Christmas!
