Christmas Sparks Day 14 Script of Experience
That Christmas came at a time when life was at crossroads. Although the neighbours were ordinary people, they celebrated Christmas with great enthusiasm. But in one house, they couldn’t even afford to hang a star. After a heated argument with his wife, the husband stormed out of the house. The mother and children waited for him with anxious hearts, even as evening fell. Overwhelmed by ominous thoughts, they were finally relieved when he returned. He had a new star and bread in his hand. He placed these in the hands of his youngest son.
Years later, his son wrote down that emotional Christmas experience with all the fervour he could muster. When it was published online by Manorama one Christmas, it became a highly recognised article. Now, the same story has been adapted into a telefilm by SH Media, with his son writing the screenplay.
How true it is that with time, our deepest sorrows and struggles can become the foundation for our writing, transforming into a treasure trove of stories and experiences.
