Thy Kingdom Come Discipleship Formation Program Concludes Successfully in Dar es Salaam
Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – The ‘Discipleship Formation Program’ titled ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ has recently concluded in Dar es Salaam, marking a significant milestone in the mission to nurture young faith leaders. The week-long program, which saw the participation of 17 individuals from 6 dioceses, was an intensive journey of faith formation and leadership development.
Led by a distinguished resource team, including Santhosh Mathew, Midhun Paul, Rajesh Moses, Sowmya Rajesh, Fr. Simon SDB, Fr. Sajan SDB, and Fr. David Mwebaza, the program primarily attracted university students. The participants displayed remarkable openness and enthusiasm, immersing themselves in various activities aimed at deepening their spiritual growth and leadership skills. This has paved the way for future endeavors in expanding the mission’s reach across Tanzania.
The program will continue with a 6-month discipleship journey, which will include mission placements both inside and outside of Tanzania, along with monthly follow-up gatherings to track progress and provide ongoing support.
Following the program’s conclusion, 6 committed members (4 boys and 2 girls) have pledged to serve for the next six months in Lira, Mtwara, and Dar es Salaam. They will undergo a further 3-day orientation at the end of this month to prepare for their mission placements.
A special note of gratitude was extended to Rajesh Moses and his family for their exceptional coordination and dedication, which played a pivotal role in the success of this initiative.
The Jesus Youth African Mission Team has requested continued prayers for the African Mission, especially for the ongoing efforts in Tanzania. They emphasized that the intercession of supporters is crucial to sustaining and expanding the mission’s impact.
