Fr Gino, a long-time friend of Jesus Youth and a respected leader of the Charismatic Renewal movement, has passed away. He was a significant contributor to the Evangelization 2000 project and was widely known as a powerful speaker and dedicated youth formator.

“Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.” 🙏

He was a faithful priest, a gifted preacher, and a humble servant of God whose life was dedicated to evangelization, prayer, healing ministry, and the Charismatic Renewal.

He touched many lives, especially in IHM, through his preaching, guidance, and pastoral care. 🌹

We thank the Lord for his many years of priestly service and for the faith, love, and witness he shared with so many.
May the perpetual light shine upon him, and may he rest in eternal peace. ✨

Fr. Gino Heriques passed away. Former chairman of CCR in India and Director of Evangelization 2000, he was instrumental in shaping our movement in its early years. I learned important lessons on leadership from him in the 1980s. A man of God, full of zeal for evangelization, he showed me the importance of being a visionary. We invited him to the Asian Mission Congress last November, held in Penang, Malaysia, which was his last program. I made a memento and brought it from India to honor him. H.E. Cardinal Antony Poola honored him by presenting that memento for all his contributions to the Church in Asia. The last message I received from him was on April 4th. He wrote, “I praise God for the grace given you to appreciate His Priestly blessings given to me.!!! Pls continue to pray for me that I respond with fidelity to His grace. !!!” May your soul rest in peace in His presence, dear Father.
