The countdown begins for Jesus Youth as we prepare for Pentecost Sunday on May 24 and the Priestly Ordination of Deacon Mathew Jacob on Saturday May 23 . To prepare ourselves to receive the graces of this special weekend, Jesus Youth USA organized a special webinar on May 5th, “With Open Hands,” featuring Fr. Benedict Maria OSB (Portsmouth Abbey), Jilu Chengat (Jesus Youth International Council), and Deacon Mathew Jacob . Rooted in Jesus’ invitation in John 15, “Abide in me as I abide in you,” the conversation and time of prayer reflected on Deacon Mathew’s vocation journey, the gift of the priesthood received by the whole Church, and the image of the beloved disciple.
