The Vision of the Divine Birth

The heavenly message flowed to the earth, heralding the birth of the Savior of the world. Shepherds and wise men received the message of the divine birth. Without a second thought, the shepherds followed the celestial message. They were the first to arrive at the humble manger and witness the newborn Savior in person. Thus, the blessing of the first vision was granted to the shepherds.

The same message reached the wise men as well. However, they chose to use their reasoning and deliberated on what the birth of the Savior would be like and where it might take place. They likely assumed it would be in a proper room at the very least. Guided by their intellect and logic, they were delayed in witnessing the Savior.

God’s works transcend human intellect and reasoning. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
