Christmas Sparks Day 22 Cherished Memories
When asked to share a Christmas memory, a teenager said, ‘On Christmas Eve, my mom would make soft, white appams and a delicious meat curry. While she was cooking, the aroma would waft through the house… Ah, it was impossible to resist! My mouth would water instantly.’
When asked, a 40-year-old woman said, ‘For years, I had been upset with a friend over a small matter. During the Christmas preparations, I was reminded of her. I gathered the courage to talk to her, let go of the past, and rekindle our friendship, which was indeed a great blessing. Likewise, I worked on controlling my temper at home and interacting more gently with everyone, something Advent preparation really helped me with.’
When asked, a 60-year-old uncle said, ‘Christmas memories are about being together and holding each other close. Even if such moments don’t happen often, during these festive days, we prepare ourselves for togetherness. What could be more joyous than being with loved ones and holding them close? Isn’t that the essence of Christmas?’
