Christmas Sparks Day 11 Christmas Gifted by Innkeepers

I am truly grateful to the innkeepers who did not give Mary and Joseph a room at the inn that day. If not, would that birth have been so beautiful? Within the four walls of a closed room, amidst the noise of the other residents…without even the shepherds getting to see the Baby. I can’t even imagine! But now, isn’t this a sight no one will forget as long as the world lasts?

That stable in the silence of a bright night. Anyone can see that face if they look at the manger. Go closer, if they want, they can touch the Baby. No one will stop them, no need to be afraid of anyone. Even if you give them old clothes or a bit of hot water, the family will thank you. You will return from there with an overwhelmed heart. There is still one thing. Would a manger be such a pleasant experience for a newborn human baby? I don’t know. But I do know one thing. That’s how we got Christmas.
